Boss Pelican #2

Brown Pelicans are just fun to watch, whether gliding as a squadron across the waves, diving from 40 feet catching pilchers, or perched as a group in the mangrove trees. As young birds their behavior is almost laughable as they mooch food from their human contemporaries.
This is a big male inbreeding colors, with his yellow crown and cocky attitude. He was truly giving me the ‘stink eye’ as I photographed him. Fun bird!
