Confusion on the Web II

This group of abstracts, ‘Confusion on the Web I-IV’, consist of a nature photograph, in this case a macro of a spider web, which I digitally pull apart and manipulate. I found the endpoint ironic in that I could not help but see the silk fibers of the spider web become a representation of flow of data byte across the internet. The flow is disrupted and scattered creating the title. The leaves ground the piece (or as Freud would say, sometimes a leaf is just a leaf).
