Orchard Weaver
The Orchard Weaver spider is a very small spider living in the wilds of much of the US. This little guy was found in the Ozark woods alongside a small creek outside my back door (and down 200 feet in elevation). Orchard Weavers are beautiful little spiders (bet you never read that opinion before did you?), I enjoyed both the colors and angles of the web as captured by the photograph. And for those interested, the ecologically and ethologically proper orientation of the photograph is landscape, with the spider hanging upside down. I’m not certain why. He wouldn’t talk.
