Tarpon #3 – Brandon’s Thumb

‘Brandon’s Thumb’ gets its name from my friend and guide extraordinaire, Brandon Cyr, who is holding the tarpon on the water while I capture his (the tarpon, not Brandon’s) image. If you look close at the upper right of the tarpon’s open mouth, you can see his thumb holding the fish.

Fish, like most wildlife, have an unappreciated natural beauty created by their colors evolving to blend into their habitat, as demonstrated here in mirroring silver of the tarpon’s scales.
