Bluebells in the Rain
‘Bluebells in the Rain’ is one of my favorite native flower photographs, although it is not by definition an ephemeral, like the majority of this collection. This particular photo was taken of a plant growing from the cracks of the oldest exposed bedrock on the planet, that being the granite making up the Canadian Shield. The same species of bluebell is found across the Eastern, Central, and Southern US. The water droplets both on the flowers themselves, as well as those creating the starbursts in the background add effect.
