False Garlic #6
False Garlic is often found in the bottomlands and along streams like Spring Beauty and often hide among them, although they really do look very distinct. False Garlic is in every sense, including botanically, a perfect flower. Its symmetry and contrast of bright white and bright yellow pistil, pollen and stamen really make for a stunning spring flower once you get down to their level. In the background of False Garlic #6 two pieces of grass cross one another. For those that celebrate Easter, the cross may hold special interest. I truly never noticed the effect until after I screened the photograph solely based on the impact of the blooms.
