Ice on Horse Creek 1977

Perhaps the most innocuous of the abstracts, ‘Ice on Horse Creek 1977’, is a manipulation of a macro photograph of ice on Horse Creek, taken in the winter of 1977(ish) in Southern Illinois. So where did the name come from? Read the first sentence again. Genius aye?

And while the photo is over 40 years old, I can distinctly recall lying on the frozen creek, using screw in magnifiers in effort to capture the edge of the ice, as eroded by the flowing stream. My friend, and fellow photographer at the time, Craig was with me. Many of my photographs result in similar very clear memories of time and place. I welcome the recollections.
