Snipe Key – Dark Sky, Green Water #21

Dark Sky, Green Water was taken while walking the sandbar in a cooler January day. As result I had the flats to myself.

The incoming cloud cover to the north contrasting to the sunlit mangroves added a dramatic effect which resulted in the photograph.

I personally am drawn to darker tones and more dramatic lighting as shown in the photograph. It could be argued the dark clouds vs sunlight represents the contrast of good and evil. Or Cardinals vs the Cubs.

Regardless, it is one of my favorite seascapes. And it again is of Snipe Key, perhaps the most photogenic of all the keys.
